Solo Rules Removed Until Further Notice

I have removed the rules for solo play from the rules document, and I have updated the pdf here on the Itch page to reflect that.

This has been quite the journey!  I thought I had the solo mode of the game under control.  I had spent so much time working with the puzzle solver and testing boards, that I was sure I had the nature of the game figured out.  This proved not to be the case.  Thanks to the hard work of Sentinel65 here on Itch, many little flaws in the game have been discovered - mostly more boards that are unsolvable with the current rule set.

So what is my solution to this problem?  For the physical game, I would like to put together a pdf of solvable puzzles that people can play through using their deck of cards.  I think this is the best solution because the player will have no doubt that the puzzle can be solved.

The biggest lesson I have learned from Collapsi's development is to hold off on updating the rule book as long as possible (and to try my very best to get it right the first time).  There have been two instances now where I have jumped the gun, and I do not want that to happen with future games.  I was also very excited to include the variant rules, and I rushed to update the book with them.  This only muddied the waters when it came to communicating how I intend Collapsi to be played and enjoyed.

At this point in time, the rule book available on the Itch page is FINAL.  I will not be uploading any more changes.  If I can get the solo game sorted out, I will upload the rules and the solvable boards as a separate document to be downloaded.
